One of the commonest risk factors that will majorly make a contribution to the problem of diabetes is obesity. This factor is in fact a first cause for type two diabetes. More is the obesity; more is the chance of diabetes. This is so because the extra fat as present in the body hampers the secretion of insulin. As there's a weight gain; the resistance to insulin improves. This results in increase of the sugar levels of the body. So it's all the more necessary to keep a check on your weight. For this you wish to take necessary steps to maintain your weight. Commit at least a 30 minutes of your day to some kind of exercise. Supplement your exercise routine with a balanced meal plan.

Your way of life also impacts your chances of diabetes to a certain amount. The more physically active you are, the lower would be your blood sugar levels. And the muscles of your body can absorb much more insulin than the fat in your body. The more you exercise, the better your body can use insulin [ due to more muscles ]. Your blood sugar level becomes stable. If of-course you do not have an active approach to life, you'll get more fat and so a high risk of diabetes.

Unhealthy eating habits is the biggest reason when it comes to causes of diabetes. Anybody that eats in an unacceptable manner is more prone to diabetes than a person who is more trained in eating habits. One unsuitable habit is to eat too much sugar and carbs. Your blood sugar goes up because these products can be digested easily. A standard example is junk food which must be replaced with a more fibrous diet.

For some unlucky dudes, diabetes comes not due to any fault of their own but as it is in their genes. If the folks or anyone else in family is diabetic, the danger of your becoming diabetic rises expo-nentially. African Americans, Hispanics and the Aboriginal people of Americas are known to have a good rate of type two diabetes due to inherited factors.

Diverse other factors may also lead to diabetes. The list includes hypertension [ high blood pressure ], too much cholesterol in body, previous case of gestational diabetes or in a number of cases plain age factor. Obviously you can not run away from the genetic and hereditary factors that may lead to diabetes. However you can and must control those elements which are in your control to stay safe from diabetes. - 24553
