Carbohydrates are the key to peak performance, optimal mental functioning and accelerated fat burning. And getting more carbs into your muscles post-workout will enhance all of the above.

The main issue here, however, is that most folks do not know how to tweak their post-workout carbohydrate intake.

So here is how to get your body to absorb more carbs after training:

1. Train to failure: You want to target all your muscle fibers and you want to completely drain your muscles of any stored carbohydrates. Doing this will stimulate them to absorb more carbohydrates after training which is exactly what you want.

2. Don't focus too much on negative contractions: Negative contractions do cause more muscle damage which in turn could theoretically increase muscle growth. The issue here is that not only are negative contractions boring, but they also decrease the amount of carbs your muscles can suck up.

3. Have a shake: You want to do this immediately after training, not during any other time of the day. The reason you want a shake is because there is a limited window of super carbohydrate absorption right after a workout.

4. Add some protein to the shake: The key here is that the protein should be no more than one fourth of the amount of carbohydrates. If you have too much protein you will absorb less carbs which is exactly what you don't want.

5. Have some insulin enhancers: By having insulin enhancers you can further increase the amount of carbs your body will absorb. If you want to stay away from supplements simply add powdered cinnamon to your shake. Or, have some powdered vanadyl sulfate.

6. Eat a balanced meal after training: About half an hour after your shake, you want to have a balanced meal for best results. A balanced meal will top off your carbohydrate stores without causing excess fat storage. So don't wait too long before eating after your workout.

Absorbing more carbs after your training is the secret to enhanced recovery and better fat loss. So make sure you take action here today! - 24553
