Cakes are bad. At least that's what we have been told. And why not? With all the calories and fats it gives us, cakes are most definitely evil. Because they are rich, irresistible, and oh so tempting, they are oftentimes referred to as sinful and decadent. But even if they are considered as the devil incarnate for some, cakes, even the most decadent ones, actually have heavenly effects for our body.

nutrition experts and doctors have been telling us that cakes are filled with bad-for-you ingredients like sugar and more, but what only a few knows is that cakes have good effects on our physical and mental wellness also.

Its nutritional value for our physical health depends on the kind of cake under discussion. While specialists say eating chocolate cakes, especially the dark variety, is good for you when consumed in moderation, there's also something good to be said with the fruity kind.

But even if you choose any other cake types, as long as you want it, cakes are still good for you. You might ask if how is that possible. We're talking about mental health. If you refuse yourself the goodness of the rich and luscious chocolate overload dessert, you will just feel down and frustrated.

For all the negative effects we heard about eating rich cakes, only a few has been mentioned about its benefits. Indulging in the rich delight every now and then, especially in sweets like cakes you eat after every meal, can give you a sense of satisfaction and happiness.

Diet can lead to depression, depriving yourself of the food that you like can lead to depression. Specialists say that one of best solutions in battling depression is by doing the things that make you feel good. It's a no-brainer rule, but apparently accurate. So if you believe eating your favorite cake is what you wish to do right now, then go ahead. You deserve it. Your body will be grateful as it will release happy and positive chemicals.

Cakes may be regarded as evil especially when you are in diet. But indulging in something decadently good occasionally isn't all bad. In fact, it's even great for you. So go ahead and succumb. Sink your teeth into the soft, succulent dark chocolate cake that you know you can't resist. You would be glad that you yielded. - 24553
